NRS Raft and inflatable boat rowing frame features and accessoriesNRS Raft Frames of today are the result of a dynamic evolution that began in 1972. Experimental research, thousands of river hours and heeding valuable advice from customers has been the key to our success. NRS, as well as other frame manufacturers, has utilized materials such as wood, conduit, PVC pipe and steel tubing, all in the quest for building a frame that is strong, lightweight and performance-ready. Our discovery: top-grade, aluminum-alloy pipe, exclusive heavy duty LoPro™ cast aluminum fittings, custom made stainless steel U-bolts, combined with superior design has produced the world’s leading, fully adjustable and customizable frames. All NRS Frames are Modular NRS Raft Frames assemble easily and quickly, forming a solid and stable platform. Breaking down a frame for transport and/or retrofitting a gear frame into a sport-rowing frame are only possible because of the NRS modular design. Whether you are loading up a bush plane for an outback adventure, or storing your frame in an apartment closet, the sleek and simple design will accommodate just about any need. These strong and durable frames are made to be maintenance free, rust free and good for a lifetime of boating. Why are NRS Frames the Best?
Determining Frame Width: Your frame should be as wide or wider than your boat's center-to-center measurement. Determine the center-to-center measurement by measuring the width of your boat and subtracting the diameter of one main tube (C = W - D) (see diagram above). If the width of our frame does not match your numbers exactly, be sure to order a frame with a width slightly wider than your center-to-center measurement. This will prevent the frame from falling into your boat. Determining Frame Length: The maximum length of your side rails is determined by the available flat area on your side tubes. The wear patch material usually extends the distance of the flat area. Most boaters purchase the longest side rail length possible to maximize the useful area of their frame. NRS boat frames can be made to fit any inflatable raft or cataraft. We pride ourselves on making the most versatile, modular, inflatable boat frames available. Our boat frames will fit any raft or cataraft including Riken, Hyside, Avon, Achilles, Campway, Maravia, Sotar, Udisco, Momentum, AIRE boats and more. See our NRS Frame Sizing Guide to determine which size frame your NRS inflatable will need.
