NRS Slant Seat Stern Frame
Directions
- Lay out the frame parts as shown in the image above.
- Place the U-bolts over the side rail and then push the LoPro fitting
onto it. It may be necessary to bend the horns of the U-bolts so that
they match the holes on the fitting. This small amount of bending can
usually be done by hand.
- Add the washers and locking nuts leaving them loose.
- Move the foot and seat bars wherever desired. Be sure that the side
marked "Front" on the seat plate faces foreward. When a foot
or seat bar must be repositioned the fittings grip the side rails tightly
and it may be necessary to remove the U-bolt to make adjustments.
- Tighten the nylon locking nuts. The washers are intended to take
up slight variations in the length of the U-bolts. If less than two
or three threads protrude above the top to the nylon locking nut, do
not use the washers.
- Check to be sure that all of the U-bolts are tight. Periodically
check the tightness of all nuts and bolts.
- When you are storing your frame for long periods of time, it is reccommended
that you give the raw wood edges a light coat of waterproofing (i.e.
Thompson's Waterseal) to keep the wood from weather checking.
