Where can you usually find me?
If you want to knock on my front door good luck trying to find me. I travel all over the country teaching canoeing and kayaking and guide trips in the Grand Canyon and Honduras.
Favorite Bodies of Water:
Grand Canyon, Boundary Waters. There are other special places, but I prefer to keep them to myself.
Why boat/paddle?
Something inside of me says the water is calling. It doesnt matter if it is canoeing or kayaking, whitewater or calm water, I feel at peace and at the same time exhilarated when I am paddling.
Accomplishments:
In 2000 named one of Paddler Magazines Legends of Paddling. Designer of 12 flatwater and whitewater canoes (and counting), plus several paddles and canoeing accessories. Several open boat first descents. Proud father.

Why NRS?
I have been buying products from NRS for almost twenty years. Their customer service is outstanding - the best in the business. They offer a wide spectrum of quality paddling gear at a reasonable price. I appreciate the fact that they continue to offer products for whitewater canoeing even though it is a very small market compared to double bladed paddling.

My sports heroes are Tiger Woods and Larry Bird.
Music Rotation:
oldies. I prefer to call them classics. Sort of like myself. Songs that arent just a flash in the pan, but stand the test of time. Joan Baez, Gordon Lightfoot, Johnny Cash, Dylan, etc.
