In the Pacific Northwest, major dam removal projects on Washington's Elwha and White Salmon rivers have become the capstones of the river conservation movement. In Year of the River, NRS Ambassador Andy Maser -- a kayaker, filmmaker, world explorer and environmental advocate -- turns his lens on this historic occasion.
