NRS Bighorn II Raft Frame Q: What is the "top tangent" size on my raft tubes specs- I have a 14' raft that I am looking to get a BH2 frame for it and the top tangent is 78"- I am just concerned that I get right length frame. Asked on 4/29/2013 by ClowMan/ Scotty from Dolores, CO Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: The shortest stock Bighorn II side rails are 82". We can substitute 78" rails for you at no extra charge. Call 800.635.5202 to place your order. Answered on 4/29/2013 by Clyde from NRS
NRS Bighorn II Raft Frame Q: Will this frame fit my Maravia Mistrial? What width and length do you recommend? Ideally, I want to have one large cooler, two dry boxes and two side boxes. No seat. Asked on 4/4/2013 by Matt from Boise Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: Matt, from my reading of the Mistral's specs, center-to-center of the side tubes is 68", so the 72"W frame will work great for you. Our stock length for the 72" is 88". Maravia says your boat has a 92" flat area. We can make the side rails that length for you. I have 92s on my E-150 and I can create three cooler/dry box bays, with me rowing from the dry box. If you're rowing from a box you may want taller oar mounts than the 6" that come stock. Check out the Flip Seat Mount, Item # 1282. I row from that, with the 10" oar mounts. Answered on 4/4/2013 by Clyde from NRS A: Matt, let me clarify my earlier answer. Three cooler/dry box bays on a Bighorn II may be stretching it if you're sitting on a seat on our seat bar. I'm using our Compact Outfitter style frame on the E-150. The seat bar and seat will take up 12"-14" of space in the frame. You gain that space for gear by sitting on your cooler or dry box. You can measure that out to see what works best for you. NRS Bighorn II Raft Frame Q: can bow and stern fishing seats be added to this frame? Asked on 1/11/2013 by CPT Girggle from colorado Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: Yes Answered on 1/11/2013 by Anonymous A: Certainly. Our frames are totally modular. If you already have the Big Horn II, you'd just need to add an Angler Seat Bar, #1200 A (plus the Angler Swivel Seat, #1227) and a Stern Seat Mount, #1232.
