The NRS Side Rail Racks are the perfect answer to extending your raft or cataraft's cargo carrying space. Strap gear to them, walk on them; they're super stout.
  • Strap dry bags, ammo cans, tackle boxes, Pelican cases, anything you can think of, to your Side Rail Racks.

  • These racks are made with 8 inch by 6 or 3 foot piece of 3/4 inch Skidguard marine grade plywood. The surfaces of the plywood are covered with durable plastic laminate. The upper surface has a grippy texture.

  • The Skidguard is connected to the side rails with two LoPro Fittings. The short stubs of frame pipe affixed to the LoPros are attached to the Skidguard with countersunk carriage bolts.

  • The Side Rail Racks do not interfere with Oar Mounts or frame cross members.

  • They can lay on top of crossbars, footbars and seat bars. When supported by cross members they make great walking surfaces.

  • They're a great NRS frame system accessory. Once you've used them you'll wonder how you ever got along without them!
  • Dimensions:  8"W (board only) x 3' or 6' L
  • Material:  1-5/8" 6061-T6 Anodized Aluminum Frame Pipe
  • Components:
    • 1 - Marine Grade Plywood
    • 2 - NRS Frame Pipes with LoPro Fittings
    • 2 - U-bolts with nuts and washers

Comments about NRS Side Rail Racks:

I've had my NRS raft and rowing frame for more years than I can remember. The side rails have been a wonderful addition for a fly fisherman like me. Great for moving around the boat as well as holding all of my fly boxes.
        Well done NRS!!

Comments about NRS Side Rail Racks:

I use the six foot platform on the left side of my 13' NRS Otter with the fully accessorized fishing frame. Great for entering and exiting the boat. Switching rowers on the go. It is also very stable to stand on when anchored up in a hole. Only down side is that I can only put it on one side because of the anchor system. If I had the option I would definitely install on both sides. Highly recommend

Wy didn't I buy these years ago-I used these for the first time this summer on the middle fork and was amazed how much gear space they added to my 14' NRS E. In addition to gear space they really improved the ease and safety of loading and they hold a beer perfectly.

Hi there.  I don't know because I'm not sure what diameter my frame is.  It's a bit of a Frankenstein between NRS and Downriver.  The frame is NRS for sure.  The bottom line though is that these decks are hands down the best single investment I've made for my raft...and I've spent a lot of money on raft toys and gizmos.  I did the Rogue last weekend and it was my first time on a multi day trip with them and the entire time I kept thinking how great they were.  Money well spent for sure.

Steve, our LoPro fittings are designed to fit on 1.625" OD pipe, so they won't fit on that larger pipe.

Will only fit the NRS pipe because they use the NRS frame fittings. I'm pretty sure that NRS uses 1.5/8"

Outside diameter of frame tubing 1.670". Aluminum fitting matches perfectly, U-bolt is snug on tubing. You need fittings and U-bolts machined to match 1.9" OD.
