First raft (Hyside MiniMax, the 48x50 frame fits well) and first frame -- wanted to try rowing -- this simple frame fits the bill for that and was very easy to assemble. Simple, effective instructions and organized packaging. Easy to adjust position of oar locks and footbar. Seat feels rugged. I like being able to press that footbar. As a beginner, I can't compare to other frames, but this seems strong. I like that it is modular -- I have already added another crossbar and swivel seat for my significant passenger.

great simple frame for a great price. the fitting loosen often but if you keep that Allen key on you its minimal. also very light and no rust on anything ever (fresh water). great buy

awesome for use with small boats (with full size tubes) such as the hyside mini-me! can take this rig anywhere and access water that boaters/fisherman in larger craft cannot! Awesome for two people!

You want the frame side rails to rest on the center of the side tubes, or farther out. Subtract the tube diameter from the outside boat width to get the center-to-center measurement.
