Replace these about every 4 years or so.

All open ended NRS tubes should have these.

They do break down after a few years (yeah I know, more 303...) Anyway, they breakdown; and when they do, they leave a nasty black mark on anything that touches them. Just get new ones before they break down.

                        A:

Jeff, I'm not sure how you're considering using this in your kayak. The plugs are designed to fit in our raft and cataraft frame pipe (1-3/8" inside diameter). They are slightly tapered so they fit tight and cover the possibly sharp pipe ends.

Well I can measure this for you if they are no longer available from NRS, but it's the plug they use on their raft frames. So the inside diameter of the aluminum tubing is the same as the plug part ot this and the outside diameter is the diameter of the cap/button on top. I don't think they are used to plug any air compartment, but NRS tech folks should know that.

These plugs fit 1 ¼" pipe. Inside diameter of the pipe is around 1 3/8". Outside diameter is about 1 5/8".
