Avoid balancing on that standard or air floor. Be sure-footed on this solid marine-grade platform. Available in two sizes, small and large, to accommodate different boat sizes. The small casting platform is recommended for smaller rafts that would take a 54" wide frame or smaller. The larger size platform is recommended for rafts that would take a 60" wide frame or larger.
I wanted the fishing set up in the video. Ended up building from a Bighorn 2 frame to fit a NRS 140 E. I thought the platform may be too small and I was wrong. This platform is perfect for fly fishing. The stability when standing is far better than going without. Installation is easy and so is removal.

NRS Frame Casting Platform
My frame is 60" and specs call for the large. However, I want to be certain that the platform doesn't rub against the walls of my 14' Riken. My friend has a larger boat and it's close. Can you provide a comparison of platform size for small vs. large? Is that the only consideration when choosing size or does it also have to do with bracket formation? Thanks in advance!
I have the large platform in my raft which is about a foot longer than yours. Width wise I have had no issues with the platform rubbing on the side of the raft. I do not have it rigged up right now but have no recollection of it being too close to the sides. From what I can recall there were at least an inch or more on both sides to spare.
The hole in the platform is tie a strap to one of the front D-rings on a raft. This gives you 3 points of contact.

Hi Butch, It’s to attaché to the front D- Ring for support.

Butch, I have seen this hole used for running a strap through it and supporting the platform from a D ring. My Aire does not have a ring where this works for me. I simply keep a boat cushion under both of my platforms to give it support and prevent wear on the floor. Hope this helps. Tim Sent from my iPad
