When attaching the mount, please bolt it to the frame before attaching the seat.

added set to my basic nrs frame the nrs frame and parts are a supperior product I had to modefy my frame for wideth that would be my only recomdation to biuld a frame for smaller rafts

This seat mount plate works well with any seat from NRS. I personally run a foldable
High back swivel seat in whitewater with this mounting plate. Chose to forgo the welded part to have clean frame bars.

If you're thinking of using it as the oarsman seat I would recommend that you use the crossbar with the welded plate. I have two of these as passenger seats on a whitewater frame and I have sat in them on my own and on friends boats. They do work really well, but I have found that even if they are really tight, they can still be moved with a little pressure. Maybe I'm not tightening them enough, but tight enough that I was afraid of twisting off the bolt.

Curtis, you don't want to row from the Angler Swivel Seat in whitewater; it's not strong enough. The padded rowing seats will fit on the Passenger Seat Mount, Item # 1238. It will tighten down quite well with the two U-bolts but it's not as solid as the welded plate on the seat bar.Answered on 5/19/2013 by Clyde from NRSVERIFIED BUYER

Replaced a welded seat mounting plate w/ this one... the welded plate was arguably stronger, but you could NOT adjust the seat angle except by tweaking the frame, and invariably the seat was tilted either a little too far forward or a little too far backward to feel comfortable and secure... w/ the u-bolt adjustment you can set the frame and then adjust the seat to make the platform level... highly recommend it...

Not likely. The U-Bolts for this seat mount are made to fit the NRS frames, which are 1-1/4" Schedule 40 Aluminum pipe.

1-1/2" pipe has an outside diameter of 1.900". The NRS frame pipe is nominal 1-1/4" pipe, with an OD of 1.625". So, no, I'm sorry but our frame components won't work on that size pipe.Answered on 1/8/2013 by Clyde from NRS
