Product worked great for day 1 of the trip but the tap got bumped while set up at camp and cracked, causing our precious water to leak out. We removed the spigot tap and covered the hole with duct tape. This worked at keeping our potable water in the jug and the river water out of the jug. Spare parts were easily found using Google. Overall would recommend, just be very careful near the spigot and carry a spare on multi-day trips.
