The Igloo cooler I bought in 1998 had two-piece white plastic hinges. Igloo
coolers now come with one-piece plastic hinges - the center section flexes.
These work as replacements for your old hinges. But I recommend you shop
around and find Igloo stainless steel hinges, two plates with a pin, same
hole pattern. I have looked at both and decided that the new plastic hinges
just aren't rugged enough for rafting. So I got the stainless steel hinges,
which will outlast me.
On the other hand, the Igloo white plastic replacement latches are
excellent. I don't see any need for the stainless steel alternative when it
