If rowing gear is your lot in life, then the vast cargo room of the NRS Top Cat frame is for you. Extra-long side rails provide ample room for the included seat bar and high-back seat, two cross bars and set of cooler mounts, two foot bars and oar mounts. Drop in two coolers or dryboxes, which creates seating for extra passengers and room to strap down gear bags.

Please note: NRS Cataraft Yokes place the center of the lower side rails 10" below the center of the top side rail. Generally they work best on NRS River Cats, Kodiak Cats and other manufacturer's cat tubes 24" or larger in diameter. Measure the depth of your inside D-rings to see if this is your best choice. For cats with smaller diameter tubes, the Sport Cat Frame (# 1275) is an excellent choice.

  • NRS Top Cat Frame - 72"W x 107"L

    Q:

How hard is this to break down? I'm trying to come up with a cataraft/frame combo which can break down into a small truck or possibly cartop carry but can still get 3 people along on class III water.

      A:

Jim, the heart of the NRS frame system is the LoPro Fitting, Item # 1215. By loosening the LoPro U-bolts you can slide cross pieces off the side rails and completely disassemble the frame for transport. Another way of making the frame smaller for transport is to use Breakdown Side Rails, Item # 1200 RBD. This allows you to divide the frame into two sections. Give us a call, 800.635.5202, for discussion of custom options.
