They seem to be pretty tough. Friends have used and abused these on low water runs for a couple of years. Nice light weight floating combo with Cataract oars.

Comments about Cataract Oar Blades 6 1/4":

Bought these blades to use on my personal boat and they worked great but after about one trip formed small cracks where the blade met the oar.

Didn't think much of it but as I used them the crack got bigger until now they are almost 4 inches long.

Sent photos to cataract and they did absolutely nothing. In fact they said "they could break tomorrow or they could last 10 years"

They offered me a "special" replacement for the same price I could get the blades through a well-known online retailer.

          Terrible customer service.

Comments about Cataract Oar Blades 6 1/4":

I didn't know if these would help float my Carlisle shafts. The thin bladed Carlisle blades and shafts sank like a rock. These new replacement Cataract blades swapped out easily and yes, I can now drop my oars as the blades float on the surface! I was excited to see that! They are also strong with just the right flex.
