zero effort to maintain. tough. have a nice flex like wood at a fraction of the cost. I have two different sets of blades, tough beaters and light weight wood to choose from.

Recently I purchased a new Drift Boat to use fishing on the upper Clearwater River in Idaho. I had the boat custom painted and I needed a set of oars that were rugged, nice looking, and didn't cost an arm and a leg. The Cataract SGG oar shaft fit the bill. The added bonus was I was able to take the blades off my old Carlisle shafts and put them on the new SGG ones and off we went. These new shafts are tough, and maintenance-free and with the wide assortment of colors to choose from made matching the paint job easy.

If the product is just the shaft than it is just the shaft.No rope wrap unless they specifically say that they are rope wrapped. You can purchase rope wrapped cataracts but as always it cost extra.
