I needed oars that would break down for storage on a sailboat and these do the trick. The blades fit tightly into the shafts but are still easy to assemble and take apart. Stronger than needed for my aplication but still quite light. A good, but expensive solution.

Comments about Cataract Carbon Razor Oar Blade:
I like the blade its strong and thin and cuts in and out of the water clean.
Razor with oar floats. I don't have to use weights with the Razor. Magnum are heavier. Use of weights to counter balance results in an oar that sinks. KD

Yes it floats very well. I doint know how well the Magnum Floats but the Razor is very buoyant.
