They work great, I have grips on an old pair of Sawyer oars that are about 28 years old and they are in still good shape. Not sure where I got the grips but they are the same type and still as new as the day I put them on.

Good question. I bought these a few years back for regular Carlisle oars
which are 1 7/8 diameter whereas the economy is 1 3/8. As I recall they
are a very tight fit so they may still work. at the risk of being trashy
you could first wrap the oar with duct tape to make sure the fit was tight.
They did save my hands on a five day Rogue Trip.VERIFIED BUYER

Yes, I've used the foam grip replacements numerous times on my two piece carlisle oars, no problem. To help get the grips on, I've used anti-bacterial goop to help with them slide on .Answered on 3/6/2013 by Anonymous
