Oar Rights
- The spline of the Oar Right fits between the horns of an open oarlock to "lock" your oar blade in position for the most effective stroke.
- You can still feather the oar blade by simply tugging the oar in so the spline of the Oar Right clears the oarlock horns.
- For Carlisle and Cataract oars, use the Molded Oar Sleeve with the Oar Right for proper fit.
- The Oar Right clamps securely to the Molded Oar Sleeve with two beefy stainless steel bolts. (Sleeves sold separately.)
- Molded glass fill Nylon construction will give you years of troublefree service.

I use these on a Porta-Bote upgraded rowing setup on lakes and flat water. I use Caviness composite aluminum oars very similar to the Carlisle economy oar but they come in a longer length I wanted. I also us Outcast oarlocks though I would buy the Gigbob ones here to do it again. This system works great! It's nice and tight and the oar with oar right strokes perfect every time. The oar only slides in at the throat so they can't pop out .

Have owned several rafts, and each time I purchase a new one these come with the oars. They give novice the confidence needed to learn the oars, and just more relaxing all around.

At 1 13/16" in diameter on the rubber sleeve, the Utility oar falls right smack in the gap between the two Oar Right sizes. You can squeeze the Small on the sleeve (it has some give) but you'll need longer stainless steel bolts.Answered on 2/21/2013 by Clyde from NRSVERIFIED BUYER
