Used on a 7-1/2 ft 2 piece alum Carlisle economy oar. Used a rubber spacer to enlarge oar so it would fit. We wrapped a piece of 3/8 compressable rubber around the entire shaft the same length as the oar clip then clamped it on. It didn't slip or mark the powder coat on the oar. We used it on a factory oar mount on a mercury 340airdeack (stud type oar mount). We added a large washer to the stud on the boat under the nut to hold the Carlson Oar Stirups. This way we didn't have to drill our oars to mount them nore did we have to change the boat factory mount. We ran the Thompson river in B.C and the economy oar worked great. Only doing this a couple trips per year.

I have an older raft that uses these clips and they work well- but - you MUST get them on tightly otherwise the oar will twist and that's not, well , no body wants this

Well constructed and exacty as advertised. Would have been nice to added 2 more hose clamps, total of 4 per clip as a safety margin and powder coated as opposed to just paint.
