Lynch Pin Oarlock Keeper$1.50
Tired of trying to put Split Rings on your oarlock? The Lynch Pin Keeper lets you safely secure your oarlock without fingernails or frustration. It's the finger-friendly alternative to split rings.
The Lynch Pin works well when used with the NRS 6" Oar Mounts. However, due to the 8" Oar Mount's slightly different design, the Lynch Pin can contact the Mount and bind up the oarlock. More Information

Comments about Lynch Pin Oarlock Keeper: Easier to use than a split ring
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Lynch Pin Oarlock Keeper: Helps make sure your Oar Locks stay on!
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Lynch Pin Oarlock Keeper: Great idea but it has caused me problems. If the keeper gets off center, it hits the side of the oar stand and the oarlock will not rotate freely. I have had the keeper slide along the pin to the edge such that the keeper sticks out so far on one side that it hits the side of an NRS oar stand and jams the oarlock. I have been in situations where I have been unable to row because the oar lock was jammed. I went back to the fingernail breaking split rings.

Comments about Lynch Pin Oarlock Keeper: Obviously better than a split ring. I would think stronger too.

Comments about Lynch Pin Oarlock Keeper: The lynch pin oar lock keeper works great on my NRS frame's oar lock stand. It is strong and secure, yet easy to remove when necessary. However, it doesn't work on my driftboat because there isn't enough room between the bottom of the oar lock and the boat's side.

Merchant response: Great feedback, Tom. This can be a problem with NRS 8" Oar Mounts, but it is not a problem with NRS 6" Oar Mounts, due to a slight difference in angle.
