Use these only for light-duty clipping small items to the boat. Mine had some damage on first trip after lateral force to the gate.

I use these to clip my kayak cockpit covers to my kayak for highway travel. Over the coarse of the last year I would have lost my expensive cover three times already if not for this very economical clip. It is very durable and worth every cent I paid.

They're great biners for holding gear on a kayak. They actually saved me on the NFCT when I lost one of the clips for the Portage Wheels. I just took the key ring off the biner and it worked great!
