NRS 1" Padded Strap
- The 2" x 5" vinyl pad has a velvety suede finish on
the under surface to protect your gear from the cam buckle.
- The pad is securely sewn onto the strap so it's always
in place.
- Same high-strength polypropylene webbing (1,500 pound
tensile strength) and double-spring cam buckle (2,000 pound
tensile load) as our world famous NRS Heavy Duty Straps.
- Strap length is woven into the webbing and stamped on
the side of the buckle for easy identification.
- A sturdy 1" x 2-1/2" label gives you plenty of room to
write your name and contact info. Helps you avoid getting
your straps mixed up with your boating
buddy's!
All strap lengths are measured in feet, denoted by the ' symbol.

I use the NRS 20' straps every time i go kayaking. They are perfect with my stacking towers and i can get 4-5 boats on each side using just 2 straps per side. These straps hold up with lots of boats/weight even on those long trips and don't get loose. I have used these straps to hold up a hammock and they work very well.

As a strap / buckle, I would given it a 4 or 5. But calling it a padded strap? Come on! Why not call it a strap with a piece of cloth for padding? That is a more accurate desciption. I have been extremely satisfied with the NRS products I have purchased up until now. I am going to start being very cautious with NRS purchases in the future.

I use these particular straps in binding large Action Packers so that their lids stay put while shipping gear on airlines. We use them heavily in strapping things to the roof rack, trailers, etc, for camping in remote areas.

These blue webbing tie downs, with buckle protector pads, are the best way to tie down my canoe on my van that I have seen. I have tried many options in my 115 trips to the BWCA, but these are by far the best, and are easy to tighten as much as I want to avoid wind movement of my valuable canoe.

I would have preferred one that is encapsulated rather than just a patch. When this is tossed over the top of the car, there is a 50-50 chance the unpadded side will still hit the window or body of the car.
