The Aire is PVC so you'll need a PVC d-ring and PVC glue

Aire's boats are PVC, so the handle/patch and glue needs to be PVC. I'd
      check Aire's website for advice

Jeff, this product is designed to glue to a rubber material, like our Pennel Orca (hypalon) boat material; You should choose one designed for PVC. Take a look at Item # 1468.2. We only stock it in the gray, but can order any of the other AIRE colors for you. You'll want to use Clifton Urethane Adhesive, Item # 1901. Give us a call - 800.635.5202.

We used these on the sides of our two person, Sevylor River Runner, inflatable kayak and they work terrific and make our large kayak so much easier to handle. They have adhered well with no lifting around the edges.

Probably, but it isn't ideal. Getting hypalon or neoprene to bond to PVC is a little
bit of a challenge. Google it. Jack's plastic welding and River Connection have
articles on the subject. Sounds like you need to apply a couple coats of hypalon
cement or neoprene contact cement to the back of the handle/d ring and let them dry
completely (12+ hours). Then you should be able to use PVC glue to join the part to
the boat. Stabond supposedly works with either, but use toluene to prep the hypalon
      and MEK for the PVC.
Probably better to use PVC parts if you can.
Then let the bond cure for as long as possible before use (e.g., a week).

As another responder said, Stabond can be used to bond hypalon to PVC. However, if the colors aren't a problem, our urethane handles and our PVC D-rings, or AIRE's would be better choices. Use Clifton Urethane Adhesive.

I used this on my Mercury PVC boat. Used StaBond to glue it.
