Adding handles is a great idea. I installed them so my kids would feel more secure when the water got rough. They are young enough that their paddling efforts really don't contribute to propelling the raft and I would rather have them in the boat than floating by it. I also located them towards the inside of the raft so that they were useful when climbing back in.

Comments about NRS EasyCarry Raft Handles:
My hypalon RIB was made with a heavy molded bow carry handle that got brittle and broke. I couldn't find a molded replacement. I was worried that this handle would not be heavy enough. It seems to be OK. Time will tell.

great product, made it much easier to transport my shredder.. Highly recommend!
You need to make sure that you prime the fabric with the glue, so if you want to stick a hypalon patch to pvc you prime the hypalon fabric with hypalon glue, then wait 8 to12 hrs for it to cure. Then you use PVC glue on both surfaces just as you wud do if gluing pvc to pvc.

Best to check with your boat's manufacturer for the proper match up an especially the glue required.

In our experience, Stabond Adhesive is the best glue for bonding Hypalon to PVC. The NRS Urethane Raft Handle, Item 1619, would be a better choice for PVC, use Clifton Urethane Adhesive. Call us with any questions.
