The mug was shipped with no disclaimers. However, it should be noted hot liquids can cause a mug to heat up. What was surprising was the immediate and searing heat coming from the sides of the mug. I burned my hand when I picked the mug the up, instantly slinging it across the room.

Used this for coffee and spirits on a canoe trip. Only negative, very minor, was the heat from hot coffee will be somewhat intensified to your fingers when hot. Not bad on a cold day, or to have a french press river side!

I liked the nice sized cup and low weight but it stopped there. The handle has a kind of "hammered" finish that looks and feels cheep. Worst of all I couldn't get my fingers in the handle comfortably to hold the cup. If you have a larger hand or fingers, look else where...ladies, this ones for you. I love NRS and their products and I will just keep the cup and give it to someone that can use it...sorry!
