This is the second set I have purchased. The first set worked so good I bought another set and attached them to the first set so that I could hang two kayaks on the same wall. These are the best hanger straps out there and the only ones with metal attachments, so they won't break.

I love this product. There are more expensive items out there that will give you the same result but going that route doesnt seem to make much sense. Use this product and put that extra cash savings toward a better paddle. Went up in a matter of minutes.

                        Q:

I plan to mount this to the ceiling of my shed. The rafters are angles since they take the shape of the roof. Can the hardware mount into the rafters if they are angled and not flat?

                          Josh
Sorry for taking so long to reply. I used eye bolts screwed into the
rafters. The hook on the strap just goes into the eye bolt. They should
work fine regardless of the angle.
By the way, I am very happy with this product. They are easy to use and
keep my kayaks out of the way.

Yes you can mount to rafters on an angle, the hanger is supplied with two
enclosed eye hooks so the angle of the rafter is no problem!

                          Hi Josh,
The Kayak/SUP hanger comes with two eyebolts (much like the picture
below) that the hooks hang from.
It's a great system that can be mounted anywhere.
                          Enjoy it!

The hardware that I used came with the kayak hangers. The hardware includes rather large lag screws that I pre-drilled holes for in the garage ceiling after finding the ceiling joists. It should work at an angle as well.

I see no problem with this issue - you will need some eye bolts or lag bolts
with large flat washers - I am happy with the product.

Eyescrews or screwhooks would work fine. Make sure you get them at least 2 inches long for heavier boats.

Hi Nancy - J hooks attach to the wall studs, use a stud finder to locate then a small drill hole starts the screw. My kayak Hangs on the living room wall and were both waiting for water.

The hanger comes with two "eye bolts" that you need to screw into a solid support, like a wall stud. The J-hooks then attach to the eye bolts.

You need to find studs in the ceiling to install a closed circle screw. Not sure if the screws are enclosed (probably), but it is a great system!
