The standard seat for all of our inflatables has a stiff backpad for excellent back support. The stiff backpad also allows for more storage area or leg room between seats on the tandem kayaks. This chair can be used in either AIRE or NRS inflatable kayaks. Take it out of the boat for an excellent camp chair.

Comments about AIRE Kayak Cheetah Chair:

This is the seat that used to come with the Aire Tributary Tomcats. I used it with an older Tomcat and bought another Tomcat that came with the lame little pillow seats. These seats are more comfortable, more adjustable, and have the nice storage in the rear.

Comments about AIRE Kayak Cheetah Chair:

This is a much more comfortable backrest than an inflatable thwart. It has more back structure and yet it can stay attached to the kayak and roll up with the boat for storage. It also has a handy pocket on the back and a cup holder for a 12 can of your favorite beverage. It straps in through the self-bailing holes and adjusts quickly with NRS style cam buckles.

Cant see how you can do that facing forward. where would they put their feet?  Facing backwards looks like it would work. Maybe put a cooler or tackle box between the seats as a support for the backrest.

There are multiple tiedown points on the deck, so that should work just fine.

Yes if you've got loops on the sides in front and back of the seat.

Should work, as long as you can anchor it through interior cargo loops or through the drain holes.

We have two in a Aire Tomcat Tandem, which the specs say is 12' 9" long and 38.5 inches wide. Sounds like one would fit fine in yours. They're pretty comfortable and have a handy bottle holder and zip pocket on the back.

I guess it would depend on how wide the base of you kayak is, I have a tandem and have purchased two of them. Does your boat have the loops in the bottom?

I think it would but check the return policy just in case. Be aware that you may find the new seat just as uncomfortable. I found my aire seats to be marginal in comfort and wet in white water. I used to put an inflatable seat pad under the Aire seat to make it a bit drier. I think it was made by cascade designs. That was the best I came up with. I also invested in a pair of neoprene shorts(like a wet suit). That turned out to be a very good solution for me. Good luck, and happy paddling.

Should work fine for you, it is a great seat, we replaced the original blow up seat in an Aire Lynx and are very happy with it.

Mid-back. A little higher than a crazy creek if you know that brand.

It's 14" high (measured on the side facing your back). There are straps
hanging from 4 buckles on the seat (2 in front and 2 in back); each has a
loop end and 2 free ends. Your boat should also have loops on the side
that these can attach to. Undo the buckles on the seat and run the strap
loop thru the boat loop, then feed the free ends thru the strap loop and
pull tight. Then reconnect the buckles to attach the seat. Use the buckles
to adjust the strap lengths to take up any slack or to move the seat
                      forward or back.
