Have you ever seen a child walking around in their parents' shoes? Paddling a kayak that is too big for you isn't much better. The Tomcat LV offers the perfect solution for smaller people and youths.
  • The Tomcat LV is 20% smaller than the Tomcat Solo, offering smaller paddlers a boat that is easy to handle.

  • Play boaters will also love the quick, responsive handling this smaller duckie provides.

  • Like other Tributary kayaks, the LV is constructed using tested and proven materials: a PVC outer shell with double-stitched seams and 20 gauge vinyl bladders for years of whitewater fun.

      A:

Is this the smaller of the two tomcats? I originally ordered the smaller one. I am 5'5 and weigh 110 pounds. However, I was planning on using the boat in class 3 and 4 whitewater and decided the smaller one was too small and not stable enough for big rapids. I ended up exchanging it for the larger version.
If a person were using the smaller tomcat on flat water I would guess that it would work well for anyone up to about 175 lbs.
      I hope that helps.
