Comments about NRS Bandit Thwart Seat - Closeout:

Already had one in my Bandit, just needed an extra as a foot brace. If NRS would like to improve thwarts for future boats, my only complaint is the attachment straps come loose too easily...put cams on them and it would be perfect.

Comments about NRS Bandit Thwart Seat - Closeout:

I use the Bandit thwart as a seat and the Rascal thwart as a foot rest in my new Bandit. Together they keep my boat really light for carrying, and easy flipping during that occasional swim. They also allow me to roll my boat compactly for transport.

Comments about NRS Bandit Thwart Seat - Closeout:

While it's absolutely necessary to have a thwart seat to keep you in the correct position on any decent-sized water, no matter how much I wedge them in, I found that my feet popped out when going over any bigger drops. I ended up buying a second seat to use as a toe block, and it works perfectly. Now my feet have a large firm surface to push on, and I stay firmly wedged in my boat. As an added bonus, my "toe block" doubles as a backrest for a child on smaller water. Plus, the leafield valves are extremely easy to use when inflating and deflating, and the screw closure ensures that the thwart stays inflated no matter what. As for the material, while I don't expect it to last 30+ years like hypalon, it's seems plenty durable so far.

Is this a seat to lace in in front of the back rest thwart, allowing your butt to stay dryer?

I use this seat as a front foot brace. I don't think you can keep your

This is designed to be a back rest, or it can be used to brace your feet against it.

Unless they've changed the design of the backrest thwart, it's the same as the backrest thwart and has the same function--a backrest. We also use it was a footbrace (and extra seat if toting a smaller passenger) in the front, and it works really well to wedge your feet down between it and the side tubes.
