Always carry a spare (or 2) gasket for the 5in Barrel Pump. I share my high capacity barrel pump with our group, so it gets heavily used. With a little sand and heat, the rubber gasket deteriorates. Last season, went thru 3 gaskets, but thats 5 river trips including the GRAND. Note: even your spare gaskets will deteriorate to a certain degree due to heat & ozone.
