K-Pump 40$160.00
The K-Pump K-40 Hand Pump is the "little brother" of the K-400. Same great two-stage design, with both high-volume and high-pressure modes. More compact and easy to stow where space is limited.

Comments about K-Pump 40: I use this pump to inflate a GigBob and the pump works well but it is difficult to keep the pump from switching from the high pressure stage to the volume stage and vice versa. This is very disruptive when pumping.

Comments about K-Pump 40: Wow! I was a Professional Maine White Water Guide for 3 summers, and have been a Weekend Warrior Guide since then. In my 16 seasons of using 6", 5", and 4" barrel pumps for topping off boats and stowing on trips, I find the K-Pump 40 to be the professional and recreational rafters dream pump. It's capacity to inflate and top-off is amazing. The no-slip grip, dual capacities, and compact design make this best river pump I have ever used. I would recommend this pump to anybody in the rafting, shredding, an IK worlds. K-Pump nailed this one out of the park, for sure!! :)

Comments about K-Pump 40: For an inflatable kayak, this is the way to go. I was predisposed to get an electric pump, but after discussing with a rep chose to buy only the hand pump. It was the right choice. It fills the IK in a few non-fatiguing minutes. Since you need a top-off pump anyway, save the unnecessary expense of the motor.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about K-Pump 40: I have several top off pumps, this one is the best I have ever used, has a high volume and high pressure setting which is easy to use, nozzle fits all my boats with various valves very well, summit valve, leafield C7 and B7. I was a little hesitant because of the price, but it is worth it. Great pump! at a nice size. This could be the best IK hand pump ever invented.

Merchant response: The two-stage K-Pumps, K-20, K-40 and K-400, all use a twist-lock method to set either the high-volume or high-pressure mode. Once you learn how to use that it's very easy to maintain the correct mode.
