This hand pump does it all! The unique two-stage design lets you fill the chambers of your raft or cataraft quickly, then switch to the high-pressure mode to top off. Built to last, easy to use, a snap to stow.
  • The primary stage delivers a huge volume (approx. 1.3 gals) of air per stroke.

  • When the pressure in the chamber increases and pumping starts to become difficult, a simple twist of the handle locks out the high-volume primary stage and locks in the high-pressure "top-off" stage.

  • Nozzle end and included adapters fit most inflatable boat valves - Leafield, Halkey-Roberts, Summit, Boston, Military and AD-2.

  • Ergonomic design is comfortable to use, even with extended use.

  • Efficiently operated by one person. No hoses to kink and pull out.

  • Easily stowed, takes up little space.

  • Rugged construction is backed by an unlimited 2-year warranty.

  • A spare O-ring for each of the stages is included with the pump.

  • 5 lbs., 4" Dia. x 31" H

  • All K-Pumps float!

  • NOTE This pump comes with a check valve which allow you to use it to inflate military valves and the conical adapter that most air mattresses and pool toys require.
An Oregon family of whitewater boaters and fishermen designs these quality hand pumps. Assembled in a workshop facility for people with developmental disabilities.

                Comments about K-Pump 400:

Difficult on empty tube, connection is not secure enough.

Dual volume is not needed at low PSI

Cannot be used on valves which are not clear for perpendicular application. I.e. valve is oriented downward or access is occulded by other chamber. Couldn't use on Thwarts!

Good volume for clear valve topping off. Very useful for temperature adjustment at Put In

Recommend integrated easy tie down loops for running Rad White Water

Can this pump be used other than vertically/horizontally? Eg fulling front tubes of inflatable
What pressures will it pump to at low pressure and high pressure settings?

                    A:

dunno about pressures, but can tell you it will work in any position you
are able to hold it, as long as you can get a decent seal and keep the
blowie end in the hole and pump it, it'll work.
I've used this pump to completely fill a 12 ft. self bailer when my
electric pump decided to go on strike. the larger volume works great to
fill it most of the way, and the smaller volume is perfect for topping
everything off. plus it's easily take-along-able.

You can use it in any orientation. The only limitation is you have to have
                    room to work the pump.
There are no set pressures for the two stages. With the high volume, low
pressure stage your only limitation is how strong you are and how much work
you want to do. The low volume, high pressure stage gives you a lot of
mechanical advantage and you could exceed a safe high pressure for a raft or
inflatable if you put in the effort. The pump has no overflow/safety valve
                    if that's what you're thinking.
