Protect your inflatable boats and toys with the K-Pump Pressure Gauge for Boston Valves. Works great on most of these common valves found in float tubes, belly boats and many pontoon-type water crafts.
  • This easy-to-use mechanical air pressure gauge lets you accurately measure the psi in your inflatable to ensure best performance and help prevent a blowout.

  • The large, high-contrast display reads from 0-15 psi.

  • A ribbed rubber gauge case provides great impact protection and makes the gauge easy to handle, even with gloves.

  • Note: The Boston valve is a type of valve and different manufacturers make them slightly differently. There is a small ring on the shaft of the gauge. It must be left on for some valves and taken off for others. The lanyard attachment point on the ring allows you to tether it to the gauge to prevent loss.
  • 0-15 psi display
  • Ribbed rubber outer shell
  • Ring-style adapter included

Comments about K-Pump Pressure Gauge for Boston Valves:

It was advertised as being specifically designed for Boston valves. Those are what I have. Yet it won't register ANY air pressure when inserted into a fulled-pumped Boston valve inflatable. The dial does not move. If you fidget with it constantly, and bend the prongs out of shape in the process, it might let in a puff of air every 10 tries or so. But the accuracy of the psi from that puff is anyone's guess!

Comments about K-Pump Pressure Gauge for Boston Valves:

Wanted to avoid damage to my inflatable boat and needed a pressure gauge to fit the Boston style valves. This fits my Sevylor valves perfectly and is capable of measuring the low chamber pressures (1.5 psi). Small and compact - appears well constructed. Glad to have it!

      • K-Pump Pressure Gauge for Boston Valves

        Q:

Will this pressure gauge work for an Achilles Hypalon Inflatable? The fill valve opening is one inch.

          A:

The maximum outside diameter of the gauge is at the sleeve that is slid over the shaft.  In the picture this is the ring just below the dial.  It has a little extension on the left side - this is a tab with a hole thru it to keep from losing it.  The external diameter of this ring is 13/16".  Hence, "close".  I believe this gauge could be made to work in a 1" opening simply by wrapping the shaft with tape to increase the diameter to allow for a snug fit in the 1" valve.

I have an Achilles Hypalon LSI 335 inflatable with their standard valve. I
was able to get this gauge to work by using an additional rubber fitting
from one of the air pumps I purchased. It will not fit on its own as it is
too small in size. Achilles makes a valve that you can buy on the internet
that is the appropriate size for their valves. I have the Achilles valve
and I think that works the best.

Bruce, I doubt if an "Achilles Hypalon" boat has Boston-style valves. Take a look at our valve identification pages to see if you can ID your valve - http://www.nrsweb.com/repair/valves.asp?tn=70

        Q:

I just received this very gauge from NRS. I have not opened the clear plastic box it came in yet.The gauge reads 0.5 PSI. Why? Is this gauge already defective?

Kenneth, we checked with K-Pump on this. This shouldn't be a problem. Once the gauge is used on a valve the needle will reset to zero.

        Q:

Dave Scadden Outlaw Renegade frameless, bladderless pontoon boat uses 'Bravo' valve - in appearance, it appears to be identical to a Halkey-Roberts valve.

Will this gauge work with a 'Bravo' valve?

        Thanks!

          A:

I've looked online to find more info on the Bravo valve and wasn't successful. If it's similar to the Halkey-Roberts, try the other Kwik Check Gauge, Item # 17221. If it doesn't work, you can return it. That's the best I can do for you.

Sorry, I've looked on their website and made a web search and haven't identified the type of valves used in this craft. If you can ID the valve, give us a call, 800.635.5202, and we'll check it out for you.
