Why pump by hand if you don't have to? Let the NRS Blast Inflator Pump do the work for you. Its compact size and rugged durability will last for years.
  • This 12-volt pump is capable of inflating to 1.5 psi for a fast and easy inflation. For many inflatable crafts you'll still want to have a hand pump for top off to full pressure and to take along with you on the water. It also deflates making it quick and easy to get your inflatable packed back up.

  • Comes with an adapter to fit a wide variety of valve types.

  • Inlayed rubber insulates from heat and sound while providing a more secure grip.

  • 12 foot power cord allows you to easily inflate your boat near your vehicle.

  • It's easy to deflate with the Blast Pump. There are two ports on the pump - one where the air enters the pump and one where the air blows out. Simply disconnect the nozzle from the outlet side of the pump (it twists on and off) and connect it to the intake side.

  • There is a small hole in the pump nozzle. It's there to prevent back pressure buildup that can cause the pump to overheat.

  • The Alligator clamps allow quick and easy connection to your vehicle's battery.
Never operate Blast with vehicle motor running - can overheat pump due to a higher volt output.

Do not block the small hole in the pump nozzle. It is there to bleed off back pressure. Blocking it can cause the pump to overheat and burn out the motor.

Using this pump continuously for more than 20 minutes can cause it to overheat. Please allow cool down time between uses.

After having 2 LVM pumps break in different ways I decided to try the NRS. This pump doesn't pump up the boat quite as fast as the LVM but the peace of mind is well worth the few extra minutes. I've had this pump for 2 seasons now and it still works like new. The cable is longer so you can pump up the whole boat without having to move it. Also, the NRS pump doesn't get hot or stick on like the LVM. My brother is very happy with his NRS pump too!

This unit is small. Which can be handy for packing.
There is a tiny 2mm hole near the exhaust port. When I put my finger over this hole and the unit is running, things inflate FAST. However, it begins to heat up rapidly, and I cant bear to hold it after 30 seconds. Im not sure if I should be doing this. Nowhere in the instructions does it indicate or show this hole, or its intended use. The pump cannot directly connect to the halkey-roberts style valve I have on my pontoon rafts. Must use my old connector flex hose to accomplish this. If I leave it alone, the vibration from the pump ALWAYS disconnects the hose, forcing me to sit there and hold it for 10 minutes. Might as well pump by hand and get some exercise for the same 10 minutes. I guess if you are physically disable to pump, this would help, but I find it to be kind of a burden. Also, it boasts that it can deflate by switching the mode to the "other side" of the pump. There IS no other side. There is one port, one switch, and it only goes one way....air out...

Comments about NRS Blast Inflator Pump:

The product description was vague for me. I expected a pump to completely inflate my boat, upon calling NRS they clarified the specific use of the pump. It's designed to inflate your boat and then use a secondary pump to bring it to desired pressure. The guy I talked to on the phone was very nice and helpful, I should have called before I ordered because I was unfamiliar with the product. I will not return it though because its still an awesome product that works great for what its intended for.

Comments about NRS Blast Inflator Pump:

When my LVM inflator pump burned out I looked at the reviews for this Blast pump and did not get a warm fuzzy feeling that it was going to be a good replacement for what I had. In fact, it is a great inflator pump and every bit as good as the LVM for functionality. I have not had it long but it appears to be a quality inflator. I'm glad I bought it.

Sure beats a hand pump! This is so fast and easy. Yo do have to have a vehicle to connect to the battery for power, but it doesn't take long and is super easy to use.

Comments about NRS Blast Inflator Pump:

Pump is as described and doesn't have significant issues blowing up my fleet one after another (12' raft, 13.5' raft, 2 inflatable kayaks)

Does get a bit warm if you are pumping several boats in a row, cools pretty quickly. I usually just fill a boat and top it off before I use the blast to fill another boat.

Downsides, it is pretty loud, but there is no way around this that I am aware of. I was surprised how many pumps it takes to top off after I use the blast, but again, I don't expect a 2.5 psi pump in this pricerange.

I wish I could help, but I'm not sure. I never have a problem inflating rafts. I usually start the car for a few minutes after 2 rafts to let the battery re-charge. This pump has never given me any trouble and works great.
