Hoping we don't have to use it in the near future but you never know. If we bought all the pieces individually, it would have cost twice as much. Make sure to practice using it each season, following the directions for the first time in a rescue situation is not the Boy Scout Motto. Extra pulleys would be necessary for increasing the ratio, even a double PMP.

The rope is also sold separately through NRS. Breaking strength 9,084 lbs. It is a static rope with very little stretch, not appropriate for climbing... Great for pulling really well pinned boats!

Pretty sure its 1/2" Nylon Kernmantle rope. Static 150' Super strong
something like 7-9,000lb breaking strength. My guess is that your boat or

Hi Mike,
I bought this setup from NRS a few years ago to have on my boat. I have a 16' Aire Lion cataraft and run a pretty heavy load on big rivers (Colorado, Main Salmon, etc). I have used it once for lowering the boat down the boundary creek ramp for entering the Middle Fork. Worked just fine.
The rope is a 11mm static dry rope and the pulleys are bomber. The D rings on most boats are rated for 10,000lbs and will fail before this setup does.
