The Guardian Bags are worn on your waist, so whether you're
in your boat or scouting a rapid, the throw bag is always
at your fingertips.
Features an internal throw rope in a bag that pulls
completely free from the waist belt.
Throw bag contains 55 feet of 1/4" polypropylene rope,
with a maximum tensile strength of 950 pounds.
The Guardian clips securely around your waist with an
adjustable belt with quick release buckle.
Webbing loops along the belt are provided for
carabiners.
Rope knots reduce tensile strength. For this reason, we
make no claims regarding a rescue bag's strength. Maximum
load indicated is for the rope alone.
Great bag that is so easy to access and easy to throw it's hard to miss your target. The only downfall would be getting used to stuffing your bag it's a small bag with a small opening so it's defiantly a slow process at first but I got used to it. Then putting the bag back into its holder that sits around your waist was hard to do when it was on, but if there was someone close by to help then the task was done quickly. So overall a wonderful throw bag just a bit fiddly.
The whole package weighs less than two pounds. For rescue this is a secondary device as I use a normal throwbag as the primary tool. For recreation/kayaking I use it as my primary as it is available outside the cockpit of the boat. I have added two locking carabiners to the package, via the gear loops to aid in building a mechanical advantage system with the line. I never get near the water without it! db

I've never weighed it. It's not much though, I don't even notice when wearing it or carrying it.
