I've had the Czar for a few months now. I've paddled class 2 through 4, waterfalls, ocean swells and some quality flatwater overnight trips on this board. Its short enough to turn easy in whitewater. Good rocker and high float keep you clear of obstacles. The deck pad has great traction and the removable skegs are key for shallow rivers. It make a great sleeping pad too!

You're looking for a board that will do some very different things. The Czar will excel at river and ocean surfing. It will do okay at flatwater paddling, but won't track quite as well, or be as stable, as say the Baron 6.
