NRS Earl 6 Inflatable SUP Board Q: How do you recommend storing the Earl 6...that is, if it's going to be a couple of weeks between uses can it be left fully inflated, should some air be let out, or should it be completely deflated? I see a mention of 3 D rings; how would you recommend using tie-downs to hold a small float bag? This will be used on flat water, and some moving water and class 1, not likely to be used in the ocean. I'm an experienced kayaker, new to SUPs, 180 lbs and perhaps introducing friends to SUPs who might weigh more. Is this a good choice for those uses, and is it rigid enough to still perform ok on flat water? Thanks... Asked on 4/10/2013 by supper from Oregon Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Any inflatable is subject to over inflation when transported inflated in hot weather or when gaining altitude. If you're storing in controlled conditions you can leave it inflated, but I'd let some air out to take stress off the seams. We've added D-rings to allow multiple options for tying on a dry bag or other type of gear. The Earl 6 has plenty of flotation for you and your friends. You might also consider the Baron 6; it's wider and therefore more stable for beginners. And yes, it's plenty rigid for flatwater performance. Answered on 4/11/2013 by Clyde from NRS
NRS Earl 6 Inflatable SUP Board Q: When will the Earl 6 be available? Asked on 4/6/2013 by supper Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: The Earl 6 should be in stock by the middle of this month. Answered on 4/7/2013 by Clyde from NRS
NRS Earl 6 Inflatable SUP Board Q: How is the Earl 6 different than the Big Earl? Asked on 4/1/2013 by Sticks from The Lou Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: The Big Earl was our first SUP board. We're working hard to refine and improve performance. The new Earls have different line, mainly a more tapered stern for better turning. The Earl 4 is 4" thick and the Earl 6 is 6" thick, with more flotation for bigger paddlers.
