NRS Big Sur River Board - Closeout Q: Will a pump used to inflate a tube (one pulled behind a motor boat) be able to inflate this river board Asked on 4/11/2013 by Kyle from Charlotte, NC Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: Yes I have used one that plugs into the dash board of my truck to inflate Answered on 4/11/2013 by Anonymous A: Kyle, you want to put about 2.5 psi air pressure in the board for good performance. Not knowing what kind of pump you have, I can't say how it will work for the Big Sur. An economical hand pump that will work very well is the Wonder Pump 6, Item # 1701. NRS Big Sur River Board - Closeout Q: What other gear do i need other than a pump and fins. Asked on 4/7/2013 by Kyle from Charllotte, NC Know the answer? Answer this question 8 answers A: Depends on the water temperature if you need a wet suit, other than that nothing. Answered on 4/8/2013 by Anonymous A: Kyle, you'll certainly want a helmet. Our elbow pads are also a good safety accessory. And, since you're always immersed in the water, you'll want to dress for the water temperature. If you're boating in cold water, neoprene garments can offer some impact protection. Boat Safe! Answered on 4/7/2013 by Clyde from NRS A: Fin socks or booties that will allow protection from fin rash. wetsuit? helmet? gloves? It depends on water temperature and terrain... I.E. rocks, boulders, logs? Answered on 4/7/2013 by Anonymous A: A wet suit would be essential, other than that I would suggest a paddle leash or rope to keep you and the river board together in the event of a spill or walking about in the river. Answered on 4/7/2013 by Anonymous A: You're on the water with that. I also got, in order of priority, helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, webbed gloves. You're going to have a great season! Answered on 4/7/2013 by Jason from Eagle, Colorado A: I would consider a helmet and pfd for river play. Other than that, nothing. The board comes with a really nice bag. Answered on 4/7/2013 by tom ozark video from Arkansas A: You need a wetsuit, helmet, neoprene swimmer gloves. In my opinion the fins can be replaced by a sturdy pair of neoprene booties when you not running bigwater. Infact, my experiance was that the fins were dangerous and came off easily on small rocky rivers. On those rivers you might also consider padded contact sporting gear to wear as well, especially to protect the knees, outside of the thighs and shins, and fore-arms. This board is not very maneaverable or stiff. I only used it for only a few times before the glue holding the internal bladder's shape came undone renduring it useless. In my opinion, this is the worst product NRS ever created. Get a plastic riverboard. Answered on 4/8/2013 by Anonymous A: Depends on the river, That's all you "need." We put leashes on our boards and fins. We've got wetsuits for rivers, even if they aren't cold, your knees will hit rocks in shallow rapids. We also wear helments in rivers, but not in the ocean. And a good paddling pfd is always a must. Answered on 4/8/2013 by The Freshman from Portland, OR

NRS Big Sur River Board - Closeout Q: Does the pump come with the board? If not, how much and where can I get it? Asked on 1/7/2013 by wade from newport news, va Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer NRS Big Sur River Board - Closeout Q: How big is the NRS Big Sur River Board when it is deflated? Is there a carrying bag that will fit the NRS Big Sur River Board when it is deflated? Thank You Paol Kinslow Asked on 8/28/2012 by Long time river rat from Scottsdale Know the answer? Answer this question 4 answers A: Its about 2 ft x 3ft and it comes with the bag. If you deflate using the pump you can easily fit your flippers and pump not to mention your shin guards and neoprene suit. Small enough to fit in the cockpit of a kayak if struggling for space. Its a great investment and ultra durable. Fyi does not come with the pump but most inflatable specialty stores can get or make you one. Make sure you get the c7 valve. Sent from my HTC Answered on 8/28/2012 by red heads have more fun from sherwood park, ab canada A: The carrying bag is about 22" long and 18" deep and 4" wide and it fits in easily when deflated. Mike Answered on 8/28/2012 by Anonymous A: Packaged here on the shelf the deflated board measures 13" x 21" x 4". The carry bag that comes with it is very generously sized so it'll accommodate a less tightly folded board. There's also a big outer zippered pocket, a hand carry handle and a shoulder carry strap. Answered on 8/29/2012 by Clyde from NRS A: Sorry to be so long answering... Mine came with a bag Board is about 21"X12" rolled up...depends on how dedicated you are to getting it tightly rolled up. I'm not that dedicated. Hope this helps! Answered on 9/8/2012 by Anonymous
