Used to reattach pad holding the seat of my PVC Quicksilver Inflatable that was partially pulled loose. Easy to apply and appears to have worked. However, I haven't used the dinghy so I can't comment on how well it holds at this time.

I used that product to fix the floor and transom on my Zodiac and it worked great! The best part was that you dont have to mix two components together.

Product is easy to use. With a steady hand, there was no cleanup at all. Used on an ultralight backpacking raft. Attaching tie downs and d rings that look stock option.
Wish the shelf life could be prolonged. I cannot predict when I may need it again and there is plenty.

I've only used Clifton urethane adhesive on PVC boats.

No, it is an adhesive for urethane and PVC-coated materials. For Hypalon inflatables use Clifton Hypalon Adhesive, Item # 1904 or Shore Adhesive, Item # 1906.

I don't think so. I do know that these adhesives are very specific to the materials being glued. I have a NRS Bandit ( urethane ) and the Clifton works great. Hypalon is a different material and may need a different adhesive specific for it. I have a friend who glued on some D-rings with the wrong adhesive for his inflatable and they fell off the first  day of the trip.. I would consult an NRS service rep for the correct adhesive for your material.

No, you need a hypalon adhesive not a urethane adhesive.

                      Q:

                      Hello.

I'm considering buying these NRS footpegs

                      http://www.nrsweb.com/shop/product.asp?pfid=1638

I'm aware that the clifton adhesive is one of the best but it is expensive (the price/import tax/international delivery etc..) On this site there is a 4 ounce tin of the adhesive which overall is considerably cheaper for me to buy than the pint size one. The clifton adhesive 4 ounce description says it is enough to cover 1-1.5 square foot. Without being able to see the foot pegs I want to buy, would anyone be able to give an insight or confirmation as to whether the 4 ounce would be not enough/barely enough/more than enough.

                      Thanks in advance.

The 4 oz. can should be plenty. If you haven't yet, please check our Dealer Locator - http://www.nrsweb.com/services/dealerlocator.asp - under United Kingdom, to see if someone there carries the adhesive or a good substitute. Best of luck to you.

I have done a fair amount of fabric gliding and I would say it would be somewhere between enough and barely enough but should be sufficient. Dan

I have used a single can to replace (2) "D" rings along with
multiple transom repairs. Looking at the footpeg picture I would guess one
can should be just enough to install a pair of them.
You may want to consider (2) cans just to be sure, probably still less cost
                        than a pint.

Hi, I have purchased the Clifton Adhesive just to have some for emergencies
on-the-river. Haven't used it yet and have seen it get old after a year in
the past. Have watched the repair video thru the Aire website and found it
very helpful. Best of luck, sorry couldn't be of more help.
