A great pvc glue. My 94 zodiac yachtline needed a complete reglue. Stabond was the best choice. Follow the directions strictly and it'll create a permanent bond between the pvc. I also used it to glue the tubes onto the fiberglass hull and its working fine. I used it hard for 6 months this summer and its all holding strong

once the glue was dry on both surfaces I needed to heat it up with a heat gun in order to get my patch to stick... once it sticks, it's quite strong. Still wound up needing a bead of West System G-flex around edge of patch to keep the edge of the rubber/fabric from catching on rocks. Many hands make the job much easier.

            Comments about Stabond Adhesive:

We have a very large 'floatie' (raft) that holds up to 6 people, we call it the "Titanic". one windy night it flipped over, launching the anchor over and in doing so the anchor cut a couple small holes. We couldn't use the junk that came with the big float - we needed an industrial product. We also had quite a few double tubes that we used the product on.
I went to see Capn Bob - a local man that rents kayaks and tubes to float down the river, and he recommended the Sta-bond adhesive. Thats what he uses. He gave us the fabric.
For weight, I have a very heavy chunk of steel - it worked great!
We are now professionals, I feel.
As I was looking down at my water shoes recently, They too are NRS!

                      Dick:
I used Stabond with its accelerator successfully this July in SW New Mexico. Temps were high 90's with single digit humidity and I got a very strong bond in a high stress area on my raft (foot tabs). Nine floats later the tabs are holding flawlessly. Follow instructions carefully and keep a sharp eye out for how it's curing. Stay focused and you should be okay.

                      A:

I have used Stabond a number of times in a hot garage (around 90 degrees F.) with humidity over 70%, and it has worked perfectly every time. Since you have to use the recommended amount of catalyst to ensure proper adhesion, the only result of the heat is that the Stabond begins to set faster, so you have to work with smaller quantities or work more quickly than in lower temperatures.
