303 Aerospace Protectant Q: Can I use this on my kayak? I have a daggar axis kayak Asked on 5/13/2013 by Laurie from Franklin tn. Know the answer? Answer this question 8 answers A: Yes, 303 is good for kayaks and canoes. Apply it every 3 - 4 months, helps protect the boat's plastic material from UV and gives the boat a bit of a shine or polished look. Answered on 5/16/2013 by Anonymous A: I use it on all of my kayaks, composite & poly. Recommended by dealers for UV protection. Answered on 5/16/2013 by Anonymous A: I would say yes. The manufacture recommends it for all different kinds of hard and soft plastic and rubber including clear plastic windows, vinyl, natural rubbers, etc. They also recommend it on leather, fiberglass, chrome, and aluminium. I don't see any warnings about any polymers that you shouldn't use it on. It should help with UV breakdown, especially for boats stored outside. ...this is my read of their website nothing more, have a look and happy boating. Answered on 5/16/2013 by amos5000 from Paddling, CO A: Hi Laurie, Using 303 won't hurt…although I question how long it remains on the surface of the boat once it gets wet. I've used it on roto-mold plastic & kevlar-carbon fiber kayaks, as well as my epoxy waveski with no problems or issues. It does make them look great…beyond that, I can't say. Answered on 5/13/2013 by Clyde from NRS A: I use this product on my Wilderness recreational kayak and my We-noh-na solo canoe. It works great. It makes your boat glide better and restores the color. All of my boating friends use it too. I highly recommend using this product to maintain your boat. Sent from my Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Smartphone Answered on 5/13/2013 by Anonymous A: Of course......apply a thin layer to surfaces most exposed to sunlight. It is a sunscreen for plastic. Sent from my iPhone Answered on 5/13/2013 by Anonymous A: I don't know, but it is more for protecting things like clothing from sun.. Your kayak can withstand a couple decades of sun no problem, but it would probably keep it from fading if it works on plastic. Seems like overkill, but if you plan on keeping it for twenty years it may help. Answered on 5/13/2013 by Anonymous
