AIRE PVC Raft Floor Material
Q:
Looking for material to patch a Zodiac boat (strongan). I understand that the material is considered pvc ? Also if this material is compatable can I use the Zodiac 2 part adhesive to adhere it? Thanks!
I used this material as a doubler to reattach the floor of my zodiac that had debonded. It is very heavy duty, thicker than the original material. I used Stabond glue. It works really well but totally unforgiving. Things need to be lined up as there is no peeling back and repositioning. It has lasted 6 years without a hint of debonding or leaking. Maybe Zodiac shuold consider using this. Follow the directions exactly and don't do it on a humid day. Best done outdoors with gloves as the MEK fumes are really bad. You need to activate the surfaces with MEK a few times.

A:
If your boat is PVC, this will work fine. Stabond or Clifton Urethane Adhesive will be your best choices for glues. Instructions for both are on our product pages. Methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) or acetone will be the best cleaners.
