I used this rasp along with the Orca (hypalon) fabric patch sold by NRS to repair a knife stab size hole in a AVON hypalon dinghy. The rasp made for easy surface prep, although the rasp material would be better if it extended all the way to the edge of the tool so that it could fit into corners better. The roller wasn't that useful for me since it is so narrow, and the repair was in a tight spot near the tube/floor junction.

I found that the rasp was way too aggressive to use on Hypalon. The roller is good, being easier to use than a screw driver handle.

This is a simple yet effective tool that no repair kit should be without. It concentrates pressure and rolls out any air pockets. The rasp end works better than sand paper for roughing up the surface prior to gluing. Worth the money and small space it takes up in an ammo can or small dry box.
