Comments about Prijon Drain Plug Assembly:
Works well to drain the bow where I installed it. My yak didn,t come with a drain plug. Wanted a plug to fit near the cockpit but the triangler shape didn,t fit well. Its a inch in diameter and the water drains out fast.

Comments about Prijon Drain Plug Assembly:
I was worried about finding a drain plug to fit my kayak and NRS saved the day (or kayaking trip!) this was just what I needed to keep my little boat water-tight and upright! None of the local outfitters had this so I'm glad I found NRS online. Thanks for the cool little sticker [...]-my 6-yr. Old added it to his Jr. Kayak and displays it proudly! :-)
The hole is about the size of quarter or little smaller than a half dollar. One could possibly get a cable to go through however it could not be a very large one. I hope this helps. Kyle

Maybe 5/8" max. really probably 1/2" clear. Probably not effective with cable loops and such. You could use a metal loop inside the boat and riveted through the deck. Then a cable. If you are worried about transport, I use about a 12', 1/4" cable wrapped through my car above the door frames with a biner to the two loops inside the car. Close the doors, lock the car and its secure. Sent from my iPad

The plug opening is about 3/4 inch in diameter, plenty of room to slide a cable through.
