The original string broke on my drain plug, and was delighted to actually find this part stateside. Ordered it, but when it arrived it looked nothing like picture. However, pat was exact replica of original. Been on the river 4 times since purchase with no issues. So far, great purchase.

When I lost my drain plug and looking for the duct tape, someone (thank you very much) produced an extra one! Great to have from now on!!

The place where the tether connects to the plug separated/broke and the plug tumbled into the water. This ended my trip early as I didn't have a back up....
This seems to be the only plug on the market, and my identical replacements (don't want to lose another session) are the same design. They seem to be working fine. Given this is the only product out there, there no alternative except to buy 3 or 4 of them and bring them with you every session.

As long as it is a plastic boat all should be good. Not sure if this is replacing one or a new install. If new, be sure you don't drill into a bulkhead or interior structure. Nearest to the bow or stern on the deck is best location.
