NRS Drylander Shock Cord Sprayskirt Q: I'm a size 32 inch waist, and need this sprayskirt for a summer kayaking in Alaska. Should I lean towards a medium tunnel or a large? Asked on 3/11/2013 by jen from seward, AK Know the answer? Answer this question 10 answers A: The tunnel material is quite stretchy, so even over some insulation the Medium should work fine for you. Answered on 3/11/2013 by Clyde from NRS A: I am a woman, have a 30 1/2" waist and bought the medium, I believe. I sold my skirt to a man who had a much bigger waist than I did so I think I would go with the medium. I sold it because it was a bit too snug on my kayak and was hard to pull off and get on. He liked the snug fit on his kayak and waist because he was going to use it for surfing. I was just doing sea calmer sea kayaking. Answered on 3/11/2013 by Anonymous A: I have a 36" waist, and use the large. It is tight but comfortable over a farmer john with a paddle jacket over the sprayskirt. A little uncomfortable for winter paddling though with heavier top layers under a dry top. When I paddle with my dry top that has a sprayskirt skirt that goes over the top of the sprayskirt, I could probably go with an extra large and stay dry. Answered on 3/11/2013 by Anonymous A: I'm a 33" or so waist and a medium tunnel works just fine for me, even over a dry suit with some warmth layers inside. Answered on 3/11/2013 by Anonymous A: Hello, My waist is a 33" and a large was way too loose. I do a lot of playboating and actually moved to a small tunnel. Its takes a little effort to get it on but its comfy, a dry top still fits under it and best of all i stay dry! Hope this helps! Answered on 3/11/2013 by Scooter from The 'burgh A: I purchased this for my son, he is a 32 waist he paddles with a 3mm wetsuit and he's pretty happy with the fit. Answered on 3/11/2013 by River Rat from Holden ME A: Definitely medium. I'm the same size, and a large would let a lot of water into the boat. Answered on 3/11/2013 by Anonymous A: I have one, and I wish I got a tunnel size smaller than I ordered. The deck fits true; it goes on very tight, but makes a good seal. Large tunnel is going to float on a 32" waist and let a lot of water in. I'm a 36-38 and a large is looser than I prefer Matt Wilson Answered on 3/11/2013 by Matt from South Carolina A: Hi Jen Does that mean icebergs? I love this sprayskirt compared to the other brands I own. It seems to be sturdy with a thick rim. I am supposed to have a 32 inch waist, but sometimes more like 34... I use a medium when not wearing layers, but if layering use a large for comfort. I mean base layer, fleece, drytop. Also drypants or fleece pants or both. Also it depends on how fastidious you are about a bit of water coming in. Hope this helps Ray G Answered on 3/11/2013 by Ray from Savannah, Georgia A: If wearing a dry suit go with large. Im a 32 and i bought a large fits loose but I almost always were it with a dry top and it's not to tight. Answered on 3/11/2013 by Anonymous
NRS Drylander Shock Cord Sprayskirt Q: Which of your skirts best fits an NDK Romney LV? I want to be able to roll, but also want to be able to release the skirt without busting a gut and I want it to be waterproof as I invariably get a lapful of water when I use my greenland paddle. Asked on 2/4/2013 by Gay from Charleston, SC/ Port Ludlow, WA Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: I have the nrs drylander .... It goes on any off the boat (stomper 90) very easily only way it leaks is if u aren't wearing a drysuit cause the water just runs in the top of the skirt cause there is nothing to shed the water Answered on 2/4/2013 by eddie catcher from elmwood ,nb A: The Romany LV has a quite small cockpit rim, 28.5” x 14.25”. The Drylander Small deck will probably fit on the boat, however it won't give you the bombproof seal that this skirt gives when more solidly in its size range. We can order you a Snap Dragon skirt specifically tailored to that cockpit. Give us call at 800.635.5202 to order. Answered on 2/5/2013 by Clyde from NRS

NRS Drylander Shock Cord Sprayskirt Q: Aloha! Can NRS (or another company that you carry) make a custom sized sprayskirt for a kayak that I'm building? I would need a whitewater-style neoprene skirt and the general shape of the skirt would be circular and smaller than a typical skirt. The kayak is a Greenland-style skin-on-frame sea kayak which traditionally has a smaller, circular cockpit opening. In the past Snapdragon has made me a custom skirt, but I couldn't get ahold of them plus I'd prefer an NRS skirt. Thanks for your response! Asked on 8/30/2012 by Rich from Hilo, Hawaii Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: We will contact Snapdragon for you. Please give us a call, 877.677.4327, with the dimensions and construction details of the skirt. Answered on 8/31/2012 by Clyde from NRS

Merchant response: That boat's cockpit is on the cusp between M and L deck sizes. Medium would probably be a better fit.
