I use the helmet when hiking through dense western riparian habitat and climbing through tall brush on hills and mountains. The visor, of course, provides sun shade, but it also helps keeps sticks, trigs, and other things away from your face and out of your eyes. It attaches with Velcro, so I can remove it anytime that I want. This is a simple solution to putting a brim on a helmet for any use, and I think it is the best solution out there. I haven't seen any practical alternatives. Before application I had thoroughly cleaned the helmet so that was not the issue here. The sticky tape had simply peeled off of the helmet under its own weight. I replaced it making sure to get really good pressure and contact between the tape and helmet but a week later it had peeled off again. Comments about NRS Helmet Visor: Easily removable, and flexible. Does a great job. Best part is that if the visor contacts something, it will flex out of the way and not contribute to torquing your neck and possibly breaking it.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about NRS Helmet Visor: This would be a great item except that it will not stay on the helmet. The adhesive is worse than useless. I have an older one on my other helmet that is great. This one is trash. Avoid.

Comments about NRS Helmet Visor: I attached the visor to a full face bicycle helmet to upgrade the shade provided by the standard visor. The velcro attachment can be located to give the amount of shading you want; the bill is stiff enough to be unaffected by wind.

Comments about NRS Helmet Visor: These Visors are GREAT... They fit the new helmets well and are the perfect size. We also really like the different colour options so we could match our other gear somewhat. My only concern is if the adhesive on the velcro you stick to the helmut will hold up and not come off... so far so good. Service and delivery comments: NRS shipped everything very quickly and it all arrived safe and sound in time for our next adventure... Thanks NRS.

Comments about NRS Helmet Visor: The adhesive for the velcro pad fails within 24 hours. You'll need something to fix this before it's usable.

Merchant response: As long as the helmet surface is cleaned with alcohol or another good solvent, the self-stick adhesive should keep the visor secured to the helmet. If this is done and it absolutely won't stay on, there must me some ingredients in the helmet material that're preventing adhesion. You can return the visor for a refund.
