- WRSI stands for Whitewater Research and Safety Institute, an organization founded to advance whitewater safety awareness and technology.
- The Current is designed to fit a range of head sizes. It includes 9 pads of different thicknesses that you can easily mix and match for a custom fit.
- A multi-impact shell combines with an EVA foam liner and a polyurethane sub-shell to effectively dissipate impacts.
- Soft EVA foam pads line the sub-shell for extra protection and comfort. They attach with hook-and-loop patches.

With the included pads it can comfortably fit a wide variety of head sizes. The 'small' will fit my six year old up to my teenager. No complaints of discomfort and they are happier to wear something that is designed for their size.

The video posted on NRS about how to customize the helmet is really good and almost necessary to watch before doing this on your own. With the video I was able to do the customization in about 45 minutes of trying the helmet on with different configurations.

I was at the top of the Small size so ordered up to Medium. I should have stayed with the Small as it took all the pads to make the Medium fit. The chin strap buckle is a bit uncomfortable where it is placed. Overall a good helmet.

If you are getting started in class II/III whitewater this is the helmet for you until you get a full face helmet.
If you are going to be a summertime only boater get the white helmet to reflect the sun and keep your brain cooler.
Be sure to properly fit/install the brace in the back/neck. This is what keeps the forehead from getting exposed after your initial hit.
This helmet has taken several hits for me.

I found that if you are thinking of getting this product and your head size falls right in the middle of the two groups (S/M, M/L) you should deffinetly go for the S/M. i made the mistake of getting a M/L and then trying on my friends S/M only to find the S/M was a perfect fit, and with all the padding on the M/L i could not get it to come any where near acceptable. so just a heads up.
