On river trips, use this bucket near the porta potty & in kitchen area for hand washing. After "last call" at the bathroom area, this bucket collapses so no one is waiting to put a hard sided bucket or pan in a dry box. It collapses for an easy & compact fit in ammo can or dry bag with hand soap, tissue & other bathroom supplies

This bucket is convenient for cleaning up rafts and gear midtrip or at the takeout. It's also nice to have in the boat to hold random items. Since it's soft, it doesn't hold its shape well and the top will close when held by its handles. This doesn't greatly affect its water carrying ability, but does require a little coordination when pouring or tossing water.

Bob, I'm sorry but I don't have that information. Most folks don't use these for potable water so it's never been something that we've tested for.Answered on 4/3/2013 by Clyde from NRS
